John has been and is one of the giants of philately. Through his writings he has educated and inspired thousands (if not millions!) of collectors. His work on behalf of Lion's Stamps for the Wounded program has helped speed countless veterans on the road to recovery. John's knowledge and wisdom will be missed on the committee. All the best.

I've had the pleasure of meeting John on a couple of occasions. A fine gentleman who is always willing to share.

He is also a strong supporter of using the Internet to promote philately. The USPS design committee was lucky to have him.

Way to go John.
